Hello.. So I have installed, the game, but how do I install and enable a mod?

Do you have a system wide wide install, or a RUN_IN_PLACE build? Linux or windows? Was it a .exe file in windows? If it is in linux where did you get the game from?

I got all that but i got stuck after stracting.... (I have Windows)
all I see is LUA files
and if i go to configure in the game its blank

You put them in the wrong folder then. Let's start from the beginning, windows or linux? If linux did you get it from github, or did you get it from the minetest download page under your linux distro? If widnows, did you build it from scratch or did you download a .exe file? I'm sorry if it's confusing, I don't know how minetest installs on windows.

i downloaded a zipped folder then i extracted it then a new unzipped folder came out but it was .LUA files thats all i found..

where did you extract the mods?
they must be unzipped into <minetestfolder>\mods\

Do I have to create that folder?

It's six steps.This six steps it's very easy.
1- Go to https://forum.minetest.net/viewforum.php?id=9 and Download your mod.
2- Open your mod folder.
3- In other window,open your MineTest folder.
4- The step 4 and 6 is very hard,Open MineTest ?.?.?(your version)>Folder Mods>YourMod example:mesecons
5- Go to your MineTest folder>Folder Bin>Open MineTest.exe
6- In the game,open the window "SinglePlayer" and open your world,go to the option "Configuration" and enable your mod.

Extrae los mods en el directorio `~/.minetest/mods` (créalo si no existe). Toma nota que el nombre es `.minetest` con un punto al principio, y es un directorio oculto.

Luego de instalarlo, selecciona el mundo en la pestaña de "Un jugador", presiona "Configurar", selecciona el mod y activa la casilla "Activado" (o presiona el botón "Activar paquete"). Luego presiona "Guardar" y listo.
