FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

So as you know I am making a Landscape Texture Pack and I can't figure out how to add other trees in the game without the original default tree. Can someone explain to me how to add the other trees in so I can can see how they look?

Try using the tiny trees mod or the more trees mod or maybe both.
