it would be nice to make a 3rd person mod.
should touch the f5 button to'm into position to make a beautiful sceenshot, be playing the 3rd person or 1st person am to

Has been done but not released, blockman's preview here
https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?id=7289. Features like 3rd person and 3d wielded items are still in experimental stages so i would say they wont be added anytime soon.
