A DHD is a Dial Home Device from the TV show Stargate. (http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Dial_Home_Device)

Posted: Sun Jun 29, 2014 16:40This mod only adds a new block to the game, could you maybe have it ask for home coordinates and teleport you there when it's punched ?

I'm working on a portal / stargate mod based on some old technic portal code.

I hope it's ok to use it? all credits to the creators ofcourse. Well just the model (I'm lazy though I added a roundish base :))
It's working atm though probably not entirely bug free, reworking the form spec to create something more stargate like with symbols and the gate only opening for a short while when punching (or changing symbols)

And good or bad, eventually it found it's way into something functional, so it wasn't all that bad :)
Who knows it might have inspired the others who in turn created their version ( found 2 old mods one barely working and a possibly abandoned technic project which I used for reference (ok, more then that, a starting point? :) )
Also the dhd might change a bit (I think i find the black a bit too dark in contrast to the portal) but seeing as I generally detest gfx work (gimp/photoshop/blender/flash/etc... always takes me a or several very frustrating hour(s) do do any basic task :P) I think it's safe to say I'm probably keeping it this way till I'm happy with functional stuff :)
