Modders, please add your mods in the same way.

That makes it the 3rd page with Nature described on it. Consider creating a table list the mods and including a link to the full detail page. Table could include a column for a screenshot thumbnail as well. This approach makes it better for a consolidated easy to read Mod page and then allows more descriptive pages for the mod itself.

Between the other two pages, any different info should be copied to the master page and #REDIRECT[[masterpage]] should be used to point to the master from the other.

Example:

Copy Nature info to Nature Mod and leave #REDIRECT[[Nature Mod]] should replace any test on the Nature page.

Also, Mod pages should have [[Category:Mods]] included in the page text (a true template could fix this issue, but people would have to use the template) so that they show up in the Mods Category listing.

http://minetestwiki.co.cc/index.php?title=Category:Mods

I'm happy to help if there are any questions on how to do things with MediaWiki, I use it extensively at home and at work.

Table is a bit difficult to create for me :) Anyway, mediawiki supportse table of contents with the quick links to the mods in the beginning of the article.

Between the other two pages, any different info should be copied to the master page and #REDIRECT[[masterpage]] should be used to point to the master from the other.

What pages are your speaking about? I have 1 page for nature mod pack and 1 for nature mod. And some text about the mod in mods page.

I apologize, I misread the pack page until you pointed that out (late night last night watching the Superbowl).

__TOC__ over time gets lengthy and messy, plus it depends on people putting the entries in the right order if you are looking to achieve alphabetical, easily read content listings, whereas a table can be sorted. For example a version column or last updated column would make it easy to show which mods are stale. I'll do a table later and put it in place. If no one likes it, it can be rolled back.

I didn't see this before:

http://minetestwiki.co.cc/index.php?title=Nature_pack
http://minetestwiki.co.cc/index.php?title=Nature_mod_pack

I'll merge them later as "Nature mod pack" so there is no loss.

I didn't see that until now. I linked a French page off of the Mods table so when the plugin is installed I'll remove the column.

Did some format changes, cleaned up some long pages and left notes in the comments. Looks like some things were pasted in from other sources leading to formatting issues.

No problem. My main issue is that I get OCD about it and could spend all night editing, so I'm trying not to. If anyone has questions on how to do something, I'm happy to show or figure it out within the Wiki framework.

What specifically? I wouldn't personally copy it outright, but clicking on View Source shows how they set it up.

Is the changelog page needed on the wiki? currently there is no actual changelog to go off when adding to that page well other than github, This page could be quite useful I guess but will require a lot of work to keep it up to date and may just be more effort than its actually worth?

Also what is the "NOT DONE" labels for? ^_^

I've never done this, but it looks like the github commit rss feed could be imported into MediaWiki via the FeedImport extension.

Haha I know that lol, what I meant was some of the pages that have "NOT DONE" under them will be pages that are continuously edited (like texture packs etc) haha

You'd have to install the extension for it to be possible.

Something isn't right with the Wiki right now, possibly the system time is off. The three marked posts from the Recent Changes were done a few minutes ago. The bottom Mod entry was one last night. The Entries above the marks were prior to the bottom entry as well as I noticed last night that all my changes always appeared below the list of 10-15 edits that are currently at the top of the list.

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

In 4 hours I should be able to edit a topic and be at the top of the list if I'm right. That said, it's still all showing up under 2/10 and it's now 2/11.

I believe that we can best copy information from the original wiki to this one. In that way, we can create a lot of content at once.

One other thing, I do not like having 2 active wiki's. It seems to be counter-productive.

PS: The format of both wiki's seems to be similar.

We must be careful not to clone Notches mistakes.

Nice. Then I'll help filling the wiki in free time. Thank you!

+1

I always have that 'if I don't have control of it and what if it goes away tomorrow' syndrome.

It has potential to be extremely useful. I started using lua last night making a basic node and crafting, but already I've started wondering what API really has in it from a newbie perspective and documented something I played around with this morning on the wiki.

Who created 'blocks' page? There are nodes in minetest, and block is 16x16x16 nodes.

iirc Celeron55 said in IRC that the nodes should be changed to blocks as the wording is more generic for people coming over from MC, but...I may have just made all that up in my head haha so yeah Jordan will have to confirm it as it was him who made that change.
