NO, i dont like the 2nd version of "default_player" because it looks like a little child, or 8 year old girl. also i think there is no chance to see this in default_game because its not longer comunity based. :(
but if this merge would be sucessfull, than ill show you very much recognition (not because I think it's better then, but because then the community has triumphed over the developers.)

Yeah i want it merged, i'm actally cool with the big hair but would prefer it to be a simple floating hat layer texture for the sake of simplicity, fewer calculations and cute abstraction.

I think it would be nice if the hat layer covered the whole body. Clothing would look better that way.
