In this case, maybe just keep the default one (there is no point in redoing them in 16x imo)

My favorite one is default_jungletree.png.
But there are some I'd change:
- the ingots need some shiny effect
- default_grass_1.png - default_grass_5.png somehow don't look like grass
- the tools look "fat" (not with "ph" :D)
- the gravel texture needs some detail
I have an alternate gravel texture you can use if you like (WTFPL):
(Maybe the contrast is a bit too high.)
Keep up the good work. :)
I am not going through all the tools to make them thinner. If anyone else wants to, go ahead, but I still like the fat ones better. I am not trying to be mean, but that is going to be very boring to do. :PMossmanikin wrote:I like most textures.

Thanks. :Dwebdesigner97 wrote:Very promising texturepack! I'm looking forward to its first release!

Didn't have the impression that you were trying to be mean. :P
I know it's a lot of work to put such a texture pack together and I really appreciate you guys are doing this.
Maybe I'll do the tools and some more textures if I find the time for it.
Not necessarily to replace yours, rather as alternate textures, for I think a texture pack likes this needs a folder with alternates. ;)
Oh wow, that's a good idea. :DZeg9 wrote:Mossmanikin wrote:Evergreen wrote:I am not going through all the tools to make them thinner. If anyone else wants to, go ahead, but I still like the fat ones better. I am not trying to be mean, but that is going to be very boring to do. :P

When we're done with all the textures we have in mind, if I still have time to do it, I'll make a customize script on the website :-D
Lol, that's why I said I should designate some textures for you to do, and some for me to do.Zeg9 wrote:Damn, you pushed the wool textures while I was doing them :-P
I'll put mines as alternatives if you don't mind.
EDIT: If I do that, I'll start making a python script/API to choose between textures.
Okay. I will start once we get all the default textures done. Also would you mind sending me the code? I have never done anything like that, and I think it would be a good learning experience.Zeg9 wrote:I'm currently working on the "customize" script, so feel free to add alternatives to the current textures :D
(Please use subfolders alt[1-3] for alternative textures)

I honestly don't know that much about websites, even though I know a good amount of CSS and HTML. So I guess it's up to you on this one. :-)Zeg9 wrote:Evergreen wrote:Okay. Yep, but the script requires a CGI-capable server with python 2.{6,7} installed.
Also I'm going to rewrite the website using python, then publish it on sourceforge.
Awesome! I would be happy to help.Zeg9 wrote:Alright, this new website: http://mt-faithful.sourceforge.net/ has the customizer (open beta ;-) ).
I have to update it manually, so next time I update the customizer will be on the first release.
Source code for the website is available at: https://sourceforge.net/p/mt-faithful/website-code/ci/master/tree/
No, it's perfectly fine. It's not like we have a deadline, take as long as you want. :PZeg9 wrote:Please note that the customize part is broken and I don't have time to fix it today.
I'll fix it tomorrow, promised ;-)
What I do is resize the default textures to 32x32 (with interpolation turned off) and make all the changes to them (usually pixel by pixel). Then I use the rub and blur tools to do smoothing. Idk how zeg does it though, you would have to ask him.Chinchow wrote:How do you make your textures? By that I mean do you make it pixel by pixel or do you draw it with the paint brush and change what you don't like

Thanks!Mossmanikin wrote:The progress you've made is great. :)
I've got another alternate texture you can use if you like (WTFPL):

Evergreen wrote:Also, would you allow me to be able to change code on the sourceforge website? My username is evergreentree. EDIT (also to Zeg9): You focus your time on the website, I can handle the textures. ;-)
$ cd <mt-faithful root directory, where all the .png are>
$ sftp evergreentree@web.sourceforge.net
sftp> cd /home/project-web/mt-faithful/minetest-tp-faithful
sftp> put *.png
sftp> cd alt1
sftp> put alt1/*.png
