The mod below could be used alongside this mod to give it even more skins to use. The 2D skins of it could also be used for a new type of npc that is always 2D (a classic npc, if you will.)

This mod uses plants_lib from plantlife modpack. You'll need to install at least that component to get peaceful_npc to work.

It looks like this mod has been forgotten too. I don't see it being used on servers these days. I hope it will be worked on again one day.

Yeah sorry about that. I havent been into modding at all lately and i would like to say that i have not forgotten this mod i just have not worked on anything lately that has to do with coding. I might or might not start it up again later and if anyone wants to fork it and continue modding it is WTFPL .

I am not sure if jojoa1997 wishes to work on this anymore, but he did say that it could be forked (WTFPL.) Is anybody up to the challenge?

They just roam around and make the map feel less empty. Not all NPC do have to be there as targets for killing!

also they drop ores so it is a way to get ores in the natural form.

3 questions:
1. Do they spawn naturally?
2. If they do, do they spawn in villages.
3. Why do they follow me everywhere if I spawn a lot of them.

They are made to follow you. They spawn naturally and no there are no villages ATM.

can you go and add NPCs or change the textures? And is their a way to keep them in one place? For me, they keep going through walls and falling off stuff and sometimes try to kill me.

These NPC are attracted to players at night, but they do not attack. They just gang up on the player and hop around you. Keeping them in one place may be difficult, and trying to avoid falling down somewhere may be beyound their capabilites. Those NPC add life to a world and are fun to watch. They're not as advanced as mobf.

No, I really just never saw a need to add anything, and now do not have the time but it still works.

I do not have the skill to make them as advanced as mobf, but they are not meant to attack anyone ever. Hence the title Peaceful NPC.

They don't attack. They just feel extremly attracted to the player's location at night :-) Perhaps we ought to build them more homes!
