Most of your textures have the wrong names; I made a fixed version with the correct names here.

Oh yes I completely forgot that! I had done that for the speed of texture makin and had planned to change the names sorry and thank you for the help.
EDIT: Also now that I see the chest and bookshelf textures I remember that they need to be lightened and the ores still need to be done so thank you for the screenshots as well.

Although I'm more into "let's make this stuff more realistic" I must admit a lot of your textures fit the cubic world better than the default textures.
If I were you I'd keep all the textures in the style of grass and logs.
It's almost always an interesting experience to see a different interpretation of what's already there, in this case it's a bit more than that. ;)

Updated to version 2
I am almost certain I have named some textures incorrectly and again I am sorry for any inconvenience this causes

I made these textures while away from my computer for two weeks so I could not test them. Thank you I may release an update today.

What do you not like?

Try the alternative texture

Update!
Default is almost entirely finished but I got side-tracked supporting mg
wool is finished
bucket is done!
It's almost a self respecting texture pack now

This looks good, i like the abstract stripy character of this. Good to see dry grass nodes included for mg.
