Minetest 0.4.8

by xyz » Sun Nov 24, 2013 08:17

Hi, all.

Minetest 0.4.8 is out!

Changelog: http://dev.minetest.net/Changelog#0.4.7_.E2.86.92_0.4.8
Source code: https://github.com/minetest/minetest/tree/0.4.8
Download (Windows builds): MSVC build, MinGW build. Choose either of them although do note that MSVC one generally works better.

As usual, Launchpad builds are available here.

How can mod info (for installed mods) be passed to the mod manager? E.g. my streetmod doesn't have a screenshot and no modinfo.

Question: Why aren't 6d logs and cacti on the changelog? (Vanessae and Me)

Because the changelog is horribly outdated, and nobody cares to update it?

THIS, IS, AWESOME!!!!!!
I lost interest in Minetest for a couple of years and... I am still not really paying much attention. I rarely browse these forums anymore but it's nice to see old faces.

7:42 PM - Bauglio: I think if you go to staples you could steal firmware from a fax machine that would run better than win10 does on any platform
7:42 PM - Bauglio: so fudge the stable build

Awesome, although, I don't her anything when the player falls or dies, lol.
Working on a sub-game; mostly based texture packs, adventure and soon chemistry...

My humble review!
negatives:
* The sound enhancement caused the reduction in loading of mods
* The main menu is complex.
positives:
* Sounds of digging and riding cute
* Facilitated search for servers (added description)

Summary:
There was no improvement. There was no overshoot.

Anyway thank the developers.
We can not forget the technical advances.

I find this to be a very accurate review. All in all, it is good to finally see 0.4.8 out.

The map gen is a little weird i think. I don't know if it is intended or just another bug.
