i have 0.4.8 version of minetest but i have like 2 minutes delay in chat in it and also stuff take like ages to load can anyone please help ? this is all i see in the game

I think your Graphic card is not very strong and/or your internet connection (your and/or the servers) is weak and/or the server is at the other end of the world.
- Check if you have the best drivers for your graphic card
- Try out different servers

This has nothing to do with the graphics card.
Maybe dont connect to servers located at the other side of the planet.

its normal for all servers with 5+ players.

delay in chat, chunks take for ever to load and i bet when digging a hole most the blocks appear again after 20 seconds or so. Looks like the same internet lag i get when joining to the public servers, but it is expected as i live so far away from most servers.
Host a my own server for family games it is fine, also there was a NZ/AUS public server as i am Australian and it ran fine too.
