Ok I changed from Xubuntu 13.04 to OpenSuse 13.1 . Hardware all the same, re installed everything. Now when I run Minetest I get this box which blocks in it where there should be text and in the terminal I get this:

I have checked all the OpenGL stuff and Nvidia stuff and it is all working and loaded. All other games run that use opengl. Not sure what to do, any suggestions?

It seems to be odd on the AMD system if you load the proprietary drivers it does this, install the open source drivers and it works. On the Nvidia system changing OS caused it. It is really odd.
