Forum user name has automatically changed - how do I change it back ?

Some time ago, I registered on the forum, using 'Argos' as a user name.

When I logged back in later, the username had automatically changed to 'argos380'
(which is part of my email address)

Does anyone know why this happened / happens ?

Is there a way to change it back to Argos ?
(I checked the account settings, but there does not seem to be a way to change the name there)

I don't think you are allowed to have a username actually... I registered all the way back in June 2013.

I am not sure what you are saying.

My signup email address is completely different to "rubenwardy".

When I registered, I wasn't allowed a username, it said my username would come from my email. :P

When you type your email in it automatically uses that as the username:

That's what I did. Right after registering, my username was Argos as I requested... Now obviously it isn't anymore.

Well, Craig is actually right, and I'm only doing this, you're going to get a profile rename.
