Is there any catalog of mods?
There are many mods to minetest (which makes the game very fun). The site should have a catalog.

good luck creating such a catalog. It's not really the question wether we would like to have such a catalog, we probably all do, than to get one done.

The "minetest mod database" is such a project that asked every Mod-maker to please add his mod. You can see how well it works. As far as I remember anyone can add the public mods to that database, so go ahead check youre favorite mod (licence, resource-site and wether it works with the latest version of Minetest) and add it to the Database so it can be downloaded ingame. Of course you can also expand this list or this list of mods with mobs on the official Minetest Wiki.

Having a look through my browser favorites and bookmarks I can add these lists:

• From the Public Server List comes this graph of the.[spoiler=10 most popular mods on the servers (click me)][/spoiler]
• The thread for the LinuxGaming.us:30000 server has a linked list of it's mods (scroll down to "Installed Mods" and open the spoiler) just as the Minerealm Serveror the Xanadu Server Thread.
• Other Server threads such as for "Craig's Survival Server", "ShadowNinja's Minetest server" or "VanessaE's Creative Server" and many others have also lists of some good mod collections, though most of them are whithout links. Some servers also offer their collections as downloads in form of games. VanessaE's game could be a good start.
• Not to forget the nicely linked list of mods and games that "Vanessa's Photorealistic "HDX" texture packs" supports.
• This site has a list of mods described in german.
• This is a list from the outdated unofficial Wiki
• If you are searching for older mods, such as some that have been lost when some file-hosting sites went offline, you can try this site: MOD ZIP files used in OldCoder worlds but expect a lot of these to not work with the current version of Minetest.
• Oops, not to forget the list of popular mods from the main page.

The official website could provide a shortcut for these catalogs.
