Latest Minetest git: cannot select nodes via WorldEdit GUI

by Morn76 » Tue Apr 01, 2014 15:19

I can no longer select a WorldEdit region by punching nodes in the latest git version of Minetest.

Tested MT versions:
65d1cb8 (March 26): fails
5bd9c23 (March 23): fails
db98ef6 (March 6): works

My WorldEdit mod is up to date, so I think this problem must be due to a bug or changed behavior in MT.

Edit: This only affects the WorldEdit GUI; chat commands work fine with the latest MT git version.

I can not reproduce this bug, I found a different bug while testing however.

You cannot punch the worldedit pos marker until you've destroyed the node it resides in.
Mods: Mesecons | WorldEdit | Nuke
Minetest builds for Windows (32-bit & 64-bit)

Did you check the GUI too or just chat commands? Because this bug only affects selection via the GUI buttons.

Starting selection mode with chat commands like //pos1 or //p set2 works just fine. But I normally always use the GUI for selection, so I did not check chat commands at first.

ios versions

this bug i thikn is due to the not being able to punch an object inside of or behind a node because this does not happen in previos versions of minetest
