I have MC but my young friends who don't have much money don't. So if I want to play with them I would either have to buy them all MC account(expensive) or find a game that is close.

Because my friends who don't have MC can play with me on it. And I like MC better and so do they.

Then - and I don't intend to be rude - play Minecraft. It's not extremely expensive, and will probably be a much better "Minecraft-clone" than Minetest - or any other project - will ever be.

Minetest has other strengths, especially freedom to explore things Minecraft couldn't.

20 € is a lot of money to some people, who sometimes don't have a credit card to pay. Minetest is not a Minecraft clone, and unlike Minecraft, by playing it, you aren't supporting a piece of proprietary software which forces you to log in to a central server to play on most multiplayer servers...

You can use the game MiniTest (which is a Minetest game, so it's the same engine but with different game logic) which replicates most of the Minecraft gameplay.

I am using Minitest and every mod I add I make MC textures for it. I have a nether almost exactly like MC too along with my own brewing stand mod that works with the potions mod.

I tend to prefer singleplayer over multiplayer.

Impressive and relatively simple to use.
It get's very complicated when you want to make something worthwhile.

I found minetest because of minecraft. I love playing online, but it is horrible in minecraft (Pirates servers are not very good, but can not be minetest)

Minetest is very simple and that makes it special. (Many do not accept this, but it's the truth).

I always saw minetest as a game with endless possibilities. (it is possible to create a fps)

on the experience and gameplay, it's getting a little better (the sound effects were very good, parabens to responsible), but hopefully in the future there is piped music and a third-person view (this will be innovative)

My expectations:
I want minetest is a game with many possibilities. We do not need many nodes in the standard game, but many mods and optional changes to create what we want (I know this will not be easy for the servers, but that is how I want the future to minetes)
