Problems with multiplayer and closing world

When I go to join a server it says connecting to server but doesn't seem to ever leave that screen. Another problem is that when I exit my world to the main menu it doesn't ever go to the main menu it just sits on a screen that says shutting down stuff please fix because I do want to play normally but can't.

What happens is when I go to exit my game to the main menu it says shutting down stuff
It happens every time I exit to the main menu on a single player game
I am using windows
my version is 0.4.9
I am using minetest_game

Well you seem to be missing quite a few textures from minetest_game...

Ugh... delete that minetest folder and "install"/unzip it onto your desktop of into "My Documents".

Don't put your Minetest directory in Program Files, you may have permission issues. Put it on the desktop or in a similar place.

Check your firewall, it must not block port 30000. If there's a dialog asking you to unblock a port, accept it.

still having the exact same problem no failing to connect to every server crashing when I close a world.

opening a world works normal but when I goto close that world it crashes plus when I join a server it gets stuck on loading the media.
