CTF idea

Ok so this is just an idea for multiplayer mode, world edit to small castle's same size maybe different colors. Then put loose items on death, and one coloered block of the same color in some kind of court yard and have 2v2 4v4 8v8 battles to get the cube of the opposing team. the only thing that would need to be done is somehow making a reset the "flag" cube when a player dies with it. and turn off flying.

how about on death player drops the block and the palyers must grab the block and place it back where it was and the block has tracers on it making it visible who
ever has at any time

how about it only stays there for an aloted time before restting. good idea with tracers:D

this would be better. AOS is buggy with digging. and this has many more possiblitys like fully underground CTF, something AOS does no have.

this would be better. AOS is buggy with digging. and this has many more possiblitys like fully underground CTF, something AOS does no have.

0.75 aos has no digging bugs.

this is not intirely AOS in thought aos is much more odd in gameplay compared to any other infiniminer-esc game if you look well enough that and minetest would be a better playing field for CTF AOS is used by me only to frag as many players as possible without being killed or banned because the CTF aspect of it isnt as appealing

Death ideas come from all kinds of places, would MineTest exist because MineCraft never did?

Would he steal the idea if the topic never happened?

Everything can be stolen, no matter the protection. Not even tech companies like Msoft can stop pirates. One will always find a way to undo it.

i didnt say he shouldnt add the idea. i said he should be more polite and just say good idea, not i think i might add this to my stuff right off. like i said thats pretty rude.

rabbibob has made an unrealesed heal bolck mod that he suggested with this, it would be perfect for heal at home base:D (his idea just moving it here)

I think I have it as close as I can get it to doing what I want right now with what I know. Maybe later on if I learn more I'll try to test position (i.e. walk over it to activate), but for now it takes a punch to activate the health kit. Need to clean up the code, textures and update the mod.

I had an idea for an arena.

Image
RED=where the flag goes
YELLOW=watchtowers for people to climb. Or observers to be
BLUE=tunnels to the underground cavern
WHITE=Hidden chests with weapons

There could also be jungles, plains, caves, hell, sky, water, city, western town, armageddon........the list goes on and on. But you get the picture. A massive PvP "CaptureTheFlag". This could become a whole other game.

Got it to work by walking through it. There's a second hesitation that I'm not sure how to overcome (right now I think it's just a matter of the server checking position and then reacting).

Going to leave it with a punch on/off state. For some reason I like the idea of dropping a pack that isn't opened (on).
