paramat: schematics display properly on a v7 ethereal world with no problems, although I haven't updated the code to add height limits or any of the newer features...

Ok, this is a newb question. But I have an update for minetest (to 0.4.12), and I wanna know if updating my client will impact if I can join this server. In Minecraft, I know you need to have the same version as the server in order to join it, I didn't know if things were different here.

Updating to 0.4.12 will run as normal on server since you are using the mobs supplied by the server itself... you will however have new features and bug fixes to the game with some performance improvements...

Doesn't really matter anymore since I was banned, but thank you for your answer anyway, man.
Also, I think there should be a more... complete set of rules on how to avoid being banned, seeing as how I broke no listed rules to earn mine. This isn't so much for my own benefit as it is for others who may get in trouble without understanding why.

Although sometimes you made bad jokes, sometimes at the wrong moments, and even further, at the wrong people, I will miss joking around with ya BH. Im sorry things didnt work out. Hit me up with a PM on here sometime if you want.

Yea I mean, I wouldn't say I act like the most sensible person most of the time. I probably annoy people, but I try to not go overboard. And I have nothing against the server itself, it was great fun and the people are generally pleasant. However, It was kind of unusual to essentially get relentlessly bullied because I called myself an idiot. It was somewhat humorous but still saddening. But that said, I don't wanna kick up a bunch of dirt on a public forum over it either. Stuff happens, can't always expect rainbows.
Too bad I never got to go to the hell portal :/ bleh. Sounded toasty.

Aha! It looks like TenPlus1 has added a new way to get FAST crystal growth in Xanadu! But this time the solution is combined with the mobs mod.
You need at least a 3 x 3 grid of ethereal:crystal_dirt. You can have a wall around the outside, but all of the crystal_dirt within the grid must be directly connected to each other with no interruptions. 3x3 is the minimum, but it will work with larger grids, and the output is greater when the grid is larger.
Then you have to get a chicken on EACH square of the grid. there can only be one chicken per square, and each chicken must remain in the same square for 10 seconds. If you can keep one and ONLY one chicken on each square for the full 10 seconds, the chickens will all spontaneously turn into crystals.
This is an easy way to build up a large stockpile of crystals, so take advantage of it before TenPlus1 changes the recipe again!

maybe it also works without crystal grass.
yesterday i found a crystal spike in my neighbouring bamboo biome.
at first i thought that someone dropped it, but since it's very rare that someone comes over there it could be possible that a chicken transformed into a crystal for some reason ...

I fell for it too..went to server placed chicken with cobble right on top of them in order to try to keep each chicken still in 1 block for 10 seconds

Anyone else with a custom skin lose it lately? Mine somehow turned back to Sam, and this time I did not go to the skin screen.

That got fixed. My skin disappeared too. Maybe because of the server-crash yesterday evening.

Xanadu has no nether region as yet, but the lower you go the more different coloured illumishrooms you encounter :)

But I remember a few months ago at the end of last year someone dying with the server message "(HIS NAME HERE)'s last words were "What the nether are you doing?"
