[modpack] Magic [magic]

Hello minetest,

As requested, here is a mod which adds a wand to the mintest game.
To try it out you have to /giveme wands:wand_1 and /giveme wands:spellbook.
First, use the spellbook to select some spells and the you can try them out with the wand.

Normal Spells
  • Light Orb
  • Dig Node
  • Place Node
  • Heal Yourself
  • Retrieve Item
  • Fly (playereffects)
  • Water Breath (playereffects)
Attack Spells
can be disabled with *enable_attack_spells = false*
  • Blind player (playereffects)
  • Take player down (playereffects)
  • Damage
  • Stun player (playereffects)

Dependencies:
mana
playereffects (optional)

Possible crafting items for the wand could be a stick for the core and something on either end of it (like Mese crystals, gems, or rare metals), for the spellbook, just use a book with similar items.

This mod should get interesting as it develops.

For crafting you could have to craft a cauldron and then put a stick and a crystal in the cauldron.
Many of my mods are now a part of Minetest-mods. A place where you know they are maintained!

Both are nice ideas, but I'm not really sure about them. I thought of something like a stick of a special wood with a very rare core (like in Harry Potter). I'll have to think about it.

In the newest update, there are some new spells (See first post for possible spells).

Also I thought about adding spells that are bound to a spellbook, so you must use that special spellbook to use the spell. What do you think about it?

its not working at all for me. like when i start it in creative, there is no wand or spellbook.
