Funny but painful story:

So, I've got a drop shaft with mushroom pore at the bottom for fast access to the bottom of my mine. I'm falling down it, and bonny is falling down the same shaft, but quite a bit above me. About the time I hit bottom, bonny is suddenly killed. Now I KNOW there is nothing in the shaft, because I fell down free and clear right in front of her. So I go back up the shaft looking for what could be the problem and..

I run into a Dungeon Master, stuck in the shaft, just sitting there throwing fireballs at us. AND, the Dungeon Master is solid, you can't pass through him, just like having a rock in the shaft.

So bonny and I kill the DM, and the evidence shows that he appeared in a cavern a little way off from the shaft, and apparently burned his way into the shaft throwing fireballs at me as I fell down. Followed his own tunnel into the shaft just in time to be a solid object for bonny to encounter in her fall.

NOT a hazard I was expecting. :)

It's very mean to take my privs. i worked very hard at that game and made houses for other people and gave stuff for free away and just when i was making a lttle farm for my cow and sheep you take my privs. And i know that i didn't follow the rules every time... And allll those things but stil..................... :'-(

Why should they?

If I where a mod on this server I don't think I would want to listen to anybody just demanding things like you do.
It may be that I only see the frustrated end of what might have started nice but still, with that style of interaction I presume you will hardly find admins willing to help you.

yetserday i was exploring the map in order to find a new generated jungle where i could find beans.
i didn't find anything but i found this awsesome structure:

it's not finished, but it is so great that i had to take a picture.
i totally didn't expect that sculpturing like this was possible. this is so awesome ...

now i know what i want to build in the underworld when my Stairway to the Underworld is finished.

oh, and i think there is a bug with the new frozen ocean biome: it mostly appears next to desserts.

well, it's not really a biome. just a huge plate of ice in the ocean.
but it shouldn't appear on the shores of desserts, that's weird.

about the cathedral:
unfortunately i forgot that the debug info is now hidden in 4.12.
i forgot to enable it and i didn't note it's position either ...
but if i remember correctly i started my adventure from the wooden stargate ...

yesterday i went on a great adventure. i started with the intention to stalk wepawetmose, but didn't know that he used a teleport potion to teleport beyond 25000. after walking with a boat and winged mese boots for a long time i gave up, but then my adventure started ...

i climbed the highest mountain on Xanadu!
it is 176 nodes high (above the clouds) and it has green beans and forests of wild healing trees!

i got my own first healing tree from a secret underground farm. later i found 3 snowy mountain peaks that should have healing trees, but didn't had any. i thought that i would never see a wild healing tree, because they were all stolen. so i ventured to the mountain peaks again to plant new healing trees and restore the former beauty of the map.
i remember finding healing trees in my old singleplayer world, but i've never seen a forest like this.

at a certain height the snowy mountain biome ended and plain stone formed the peak of the mountain.
it contains very small amounts of iron and copper and even 1 diamond.
(well, not anymore. i took the diamod. :P )

since the coordinates became blurred when i scaled the image down, here is an original sized screen shot with readable coordinates:


i also encountered a snow monster. i enjoyed how it threw snowballs at me, but since it was only a single one on this huuuge field of snow it was very disappointing.
snow monsters should either spawn more frequently or be stronger.

TenPlus1 that building of yours is so funny. It's so funny I think you are the biggest griefer on Xanadu.

They and their bigger, nastier rock-giantish cousins are also very, very prevalent down around -1000. I swear their population must be many thousands of times greater than that of the humans (players) of the world. Keep your bags handy and open and deposit anything interesting you mine in them every 30 seconds or so to minimize your loss WHEN you die. Hopping around like a mad bunny with a sword and diamond armor may keep you alive for a minute or so, but by the time they drop you into a 30m or so hole there's not much room for escape, and even though getting hit may only drop you by half a heart or so each time, SOMETHING (the fire? the drop?) seems to always insta-kill you after a few of their hits.

Yeah. Annoying. I guess it's the challenge, but there's never much time to mine in peace if you go deep.

The crashing is due to segfault abd bad::alloc errors in minetest 0.4.12 itself and going back to 0.4.11 would mean many mods would have to be re-written... Please be patient as we are all working on a solution for this...
