Lag, boats are very slow and laggy. Please install a better boat mod.

Weird, boats are current version from minetest_game, on my local computer they works well, but on server i see that something clearly not right. Maybe because of different server step... I will look where is the problem.

What is says exactly? I'm having the same issue, I'm unable to login, it says "Error: Access denied. Reason: Wrong password", this issue is being discussed with lag01 already. Could be related.

If you want to play, try on pc. The players can log in only with pc for the moment. Sorry for people using ipad or phone. :'( Iguess only pc and linux users can log in cause I can log in (pc), Gold_digger can log in (linux) but ipad/tablets and phone don't work. lag will check it soon, don't matter. Try other servers. If it does it with both of them, then say it to the forum about minetest app.

auth.txt file broken again, but at least i have backup this time.
20 hours old backup is 4MB, while current file is 400KB.
Some accounts from beginning of original file are left, also some small number of records from rest of original file is randomly added to this.

Problem with clients must be unrelated. If it started week ago, it must be protector mod. If it started two days ago, it must be boat model boat.obj.
Official Android client works fine for me.

Problems appeared 2 days ago in my opinion, first big lag and freezes appeared, people constantly time out, login, logout. I'm now able to connect (thanks lag01), but gaming experience is bad and practically no people are on the server which indicates there is a problem.

So developers did as they promised and changed network protocol. Well, last i updated my minetestserver few weeks ago, maybe there already was this incompatibility.
The reason because there is no much people on server could just be, they found more interesting servers.

I have at least one evidence that user can't connect to your server, while could play normally on other servers. Problems with that mobile users - they rarely report bugs here.
Could you investigate, what did you changed in your server in last 2 or 3 days?

Ok, i put back boat.x instead of boat.obj, to normal clients it don't make any difference...

there were temporary broken accounts.txt and lots of accounts got empty passwords. i guess someone connected as ngregor and stole nyans

Server glitch, someone logined into his account and did the griefing, too bad. Is ngregor registered on this forum?

lag, just asking why you're allowing redditWizards (aka TempleGod, ipv6) to put offensive chests near spawn ? this is a childrens server. I can't seem to PM you. I dont want to put the words or screen shots on here. He is also claiming that Im attacking his computer via DoS attacks from meow.minetest.net

The reason being, ipv6b thought he was being DoS attacked.

However, it's normal traffic for meow.minetest.net to show up in your logs when you announce your public server.

I have not seen ngregor for long time, maybe since first auth.txt disaster, actually even before i have newer seen him talking. So i don' t know if ngregor will be upset, because his spawn building got destroyed, but, at least that griefer cleared more space for players to put locked chests and steel doors :/
Well, maybe disabling pitting chests and doors at spawn is good idea, but this will also prevent people from making temporary shops at spawn... i will think about that.

Well, when you try look at network log, there is always some garbage, and you cannot say if this is DoS or just some misconfigured or buggy programs. At that IRC, ipv6b didn't mentioned any detail about what type of packet it was. And of course gold_digger cannot be sfan5, they seems to have completely different tempers.

-Like I showed with my screenshots before, I thik you should make the mod really burn NOTHING. Cause, like says gold_digger, it protects RANDOMLY.
-I saw the signs who said "NO SWEARING, NO GRIEFING, DON'T ASK FOR STUFF..." gone. Can you put them back?

I've seen ngregor on server but not sure if he is not a griefer, because it looks like his structures got even more damage now, maybe you should reset his password to some random one before real ngregor requests his acc back on forum.

AGREED. his spawn house is almost completely erased. Such a shame. :-(

Question: I've put my admin's TNT on a flying steel door, it says something about timer, but how I can activate it? Torch will not light it. Also, there is admin's TNT just near spawn above rail but it never exploded, why?

Admin's TNT timer is 24 hours minimum, or much more if area is not visited too often.

Should be 24 real hours.
Well, even at spawn it is 1-2 hours more because of server downtime etc.
By the way, i placed some tnt for cleaning purposes at spawn yesterday and they should go off about now..
