Minetest is an amazing game. I choose to play it instead of Minecraft it's that great. The problem are the constant crashes. I don't mean the occasional crash once every few hours. I could handle that. I mean 4 to 5 crashes an hour, with rollback that makes me redo something that I did 5 minutes ago. That, combined with 4 to 5 crashes makes the hour rather frustrating. I know that this is a technical problem, and that it's not an easy problem to fix, but I think once this is fixed, Minetest will be opened up to many advancements. I've created this thread so that the players all over can tell you want they think. Please work on the memory problems as soon as possible.

Agree..memory leak is killing the game, i hope it gets fixed soon

0.4.13 has had a much longer testing period, with more emphasis on fixing these annoying crashes.

My server has gone from crashing twice a day to being up for weeks in a row.

Is this just a server problem?

I always play singleplayer and with the latest dev build,
its the best smoothest game for me yet.
They even got bouncy settings fixed- what!

The only crashes I have had are from testing questionable mods.

No it's not the server, it's a memory bug in the actual game that many server owners are complaining about.

I can't confirm the RAM usage grows. A stable ~500MB for 6 hours...
