Xanadu Server

There seems to be a map glitch that I cannot fix using /deletearea

Today the server has been crashing a lot and after about every other crash, it seems the server is down for an hour or so. Is this happening to anyone else? Because it might be a problem on my side. If it isn't my problem, then is there a glitched area that players must stay away from?

yes, the server is down.
it disappeared from the server list too, so you won't be able to connect until it shows up again.

Server is back up, electrician mistakingly cut power to server causing corruption in a few files, hopefully all is working well again...

chat messages appear in the log, but it appears that they are not transmitted to others.
commands don't work.

do you have any back-up files?
i have a local copy of the map, but it only contains a few areas where i usually walk around.
but i guess if everyone with a local copy throws their files together, we could re-create most of the map.

Sounds like empty player files. I did the following:

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

I believe this is the solution.
This happened to me on a singleplayer world; the solution was quite similar.

Guys, why my B(I not L)ueFireUn can't log in (there is a screen with only sun) but with BiueFireUn, I can? I connected first with BiueFireUn then I opened another minetest page to connect with BIueFireUn and when I loged on with my 2nd account, I didn't see my name in the first account? And it's not from my area cause when I went there with my BiueFireUn, it didn't crash adn I still have my privs :-/

A server administrator would need to perform this action.

bad news, Titanium took BIueFireUn (my 2nd account)'s privs without reason :( So I may won't come back in Xanadu cause it. Maybe cause I had "too many" accounts but tita has 4 accounts I heard it. So it's not normal to let it do. To tell you what happened, he asked me "why do you have so many account", I said "I only have 3". He asked me "what happened to the 2 other" I answerd "first saw his privs of" he said "cause you "date" " and I contiue and the 2nd cause problem and no one can help me about this problem". Then he kicked me out for "BAD LANGUAGE" (-->no bad words ---> kicked for no reaon) and I saw my privs gone for my 2nd account (did nothing wrong wit it + took my privs off=> remove my privs for no reason <=> kick for no reason+remove for no reason=bad admin). I think it's cause I have 3 accounts but him has 4, it's better than me?He wanna say "but I got hacked" there is a priv named "clean_password and it's easy to have) >:(

Server owner cought you dating, the rule you have broken multiple times before...
He decided to give you new chance by letting you play on BiueFireUn account, but you started to argue with him, so you lost your chatting privs on it.

Ah, and my intention with the map was to help for that. If I'm correct north is at the top of the map. I attached a small picture with the four colored spawn pathes marked in their color, maybe this helps a bit.

And sure, labels on a map would be very interesting and helping the goal to give buildings and interesting spots attention. But I guess different players would see different spots important to be labeled and the markers could start to cover other buildings with their pixels?
On realtime maps (ha, again pushing this now :)) it seems to be possible in a practical way.

I just finished the map of the "Noob Area" (see attachments). This time using s-l-teichmann's mtautocolors mod to autogenerate the map colors, yay. :)
I marked the spot, where you get teleported using the tp pad at spawn, with a yellow circle (its below a jungle forest).
At around -18030/-17650 you can find a set of cute pixel art by uma.

the map of the noob area looks great!
i imediately recognized the magic circle from the Shrine of the Sea God. sadly most other buildings look just like squares, it's hard to identify them. although i found some of them based on their relative position to the Shrine of the Sea God and the spawn point.

maybe we should make an extra thread for showcasing builds with map data and screenshots.
like a tourist guide or an illustrated traveller map book.

Anyone Else See the new biomes?
Here are a few Iv'e seen and been in so far:
The "Bush" Biome with Pyrite & Lapis Ores inside it.
The Snowy Mountian Biome
The Healing Tree Biome? I'm not sure if thats a biome but I have found healing trees grown in clumps of 50-100

Anyway, If you have not seen the bush biome it usually spawns high in the air Iv'e noticed.

I noticed today that all of my stairs were all now stacks of wood. Neon stated same thing. Apparently I'm not going nuts, at least I think not, but is this a new thing? Kelena said she sees the stairs....?

Stairs in Minetest 0.4.13 are .obj files which were used to speed up drawing of stairs from the old nodebox model, last night I switched from the old nodebox to the new .obj which should work in official minetest clients, but if you guys see them as blocks of wood then I may switch back to the old style for compatibility.
