Creative Question

by Soudon » Sat Oct 31, 2015 21:21

Ok I host a server my son and I play on my question is, is there a way I can make it creative for him but keep it survival for me. He likes the creative mode better so. I'm just not sure how to set it if it is possible I would appreciate the information on how to do it.

Thank you

I don't think that's possible, maybe you can just grant him the giveme privilege.
Never paint white stripes on roads near Zebra crossings.

That just gave me an idea the giveme would work great since we use unified inventory wont have to try and teach him the whole /giveme default: yada yada just clicks a pic of what he wants. Awesome thanks

If you are using Unified Inventory there is a special priv that comes with that mod. The "creative" priv enables a player to just click on an item in the inventory pages and a full stack of that item will appear in the next open slot of the player's inventory. Tools will still wear-out but can be renewed in the "Refill" slot. When items get low in the inventory, the Refill slot will fill the item back to 99 (1 stack).

Grant your son the "creative" priv and revoke it from yourself if you have it. That way your son will have access to all the goodies without having to remember the modename:nodenames that the /give and /giveme commands require and you will still have the challenge of mining, harvesting, and crafting. ;)

http://nimg.pf-control.de/MTstuff/modSearch.php is useful when looking for a mod:

CreativeChanger - per-player gamemode [creativechanger] viewtopic.php?t=5399

But you might as well use Unified Inventory.
