Does the ram slowly increase or is it fairly quick?
I have an issue of my ram slowly increasing. After around an hour of play I usually have to exit minetest and go back into it to release the ram. I have 6 gigs of ram. An hour of play uses up over 90%. After exiting minetest it drops down to around 20%.

I've taken to using ulimit to hold it down to 3 Gb. It doesn't seem to complain about the limits, but it tends to use every scrap of memory otherwise. I've only got 4Gb on my machine though.

@Sick-D!! Only performance issue is the game starts to lag and stutter.
@Don It depends on the server. On heavily modded servers such as [RRH] MT-Creative it climbs quickly but on other servers it increases slowly as the client fetches.
