[mod] Lamplings!

Theres nothing creative or challenging about making lamppost when its the hundredth one you lay down lol So i made a standardized lamp mod :-) they grow like default:saplings.

Great idea. The lamping needs a better texture though. Also I think only one should be given per crafting.

the little lamplings? yeah im not too thrilled about that texture either, still better then the other 3 i tried though lol got one i could use?

and the crafting ill have to adjust (starters, i put wood instead of sticks :S), buts its not the only type of lampling ill be releasing today so ill come up with something more uniform :-)

Thanks :-) i got the idea when i was using the replicators to build streets/walkways :P i was like "hmm, i need something to rapidly deploy lampposts too" lol

I'm thinking about sapling-like houses with random structure spawning (defined in text files with schemes) :3
I'll try to do that now.

Buildings are the one thing i dont want autogenerating on my maps - otherwise, whats left for the user to do?

Users can blow them up or hide in them and attack peaceful passengers or caravans :3

only problem for that...we would be giving the griefers a new weapon...instant building spawning where we dont want them lol

but yea it would be nice :p

http://minetest.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1598 make a wall of industrial replicators and people can grief everything at eye level if they want, ten nodes above will regen to whatevers underneath :-)
