A few thoughts/ideas flew into my head yesterday.
Being I'm not planning on doing much more mod wise, I thought I'd share the quick list in case someone else might like one of them.

I am surprised no one has yet thought of doing, Minetest golf, (unless I missed it?) Can't stand the game myself but while passing a spot on a new map I thought it looked like a golf course... :P Would definitely be a really good project for a math or engineering student? It would definitely take a lot of maths in figuring out how to make everything work, especially paths of the ball as well as creating some means which it follows to travel, and be random, etc...

Minetest football (American football) though not sure is the ability to throw object to others and then catch them is available? But I'm sure a player can pick up a ball and run with it, and the other players are able to hit him/her to try to tackle or steal the ball? maybe a way to set damage to where players cannot kill one another but simply puts you in a pause (no respawning needed)

Minetest has bows.. what about an archery mod/subgame? I miss archery, can't do it anymore physically : (

A mod for skiing?, quads, snow-mobile? Has anyone tried to make a water slide that the player can actually slide down? What about a hang-glider mod? (seems senseless seeing as you can fly but, I often forget most play the "game" and figure it would be cool to be able to craft one which gives fly privs...?

There just seems to be quite a bit of "game" ideas, I have yet to see anyone do... rubenwardy's capture the flag seems to me, to be about the only "game" which is, in fact an actual game, and not just more or less a straight-up copy of Minetest_game.
I'm not knocking all the subgames or the work people put into them... so I hope I am not offending anyone. I just feel like each "subgame" I look at or check out is, basically... minetest_game but maybe some different textures, or one or two vague differences?
That's why I think some of these ideas would be fun to see done... or other ideas on the same path.... to create actual "games" Even as simple as a racing game (like a triathalon) where the players have to run a course, then swim, then use a boat, use awards

And, an actual question.... do we have a way to teleport between worlds? I'd love to see a portal like the one for Nether which can transport to other worlds which saves from having to exit to menu...
Anyway, just thought I'd throw them out there in case any of these ideas might be usable to anyone.

Others can post similar or better ideas here as well. :D

teleporting bewteen worlds is not possible, but you can teleport withing the same world which is 30k blocks deep and high and wide and far in all directions.
so it is possible to have multiple "worlds" as layers in a stack.

an example would be the overworld at 0, going 5k blocks up and down and then equal sized underworld and aetherworld below and above.
there is soe work going on to integrate this into the default mapgen :)

A subgame similar to plants vs. zombies would work quite well I think.

I once had a idea for a Asain Theme subgame.
Rather having always wheat to grow you could grow rice XD

But yeah I guess if even can I'll do it again with a team.
I'm a Transgender no shame about it.
I prefer to be considered as a "Girl/Lady/Miss/Madam/Female" for now on.

Yes. BUT! - I had an idea ca. 1 month ago:
What do you think if we make "SUBWORLDS".- You have a new folder in your worldfolder with the name "subworlds"
there are little worlds like 10k x 10k x 10k (i know its big too). So if we make that we can make a nether, end and so what. I would make a new topic for this. [done]: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16268&p=244428#p244428

Maybe even the soccer mod could be used and adjusted? Currently the only real problem is that the ball doesn't bounce off of objects.
