The Grand RPG

The Idea
Every move you make helps build you into a better player. Every step, every time you chop a tree, every time you eat an apple, every time you craft an item. Every action gives you EXP. Level up to increase HP, attack and defense.

Implementing
Here we run into an issue: how do we quantify actions? How do we level up? How do we manipulate server-side variables per player? I suggest simply trying to count how many times a player destroys/places blocks and change EXP, and tie in an automated payout per-level via the money mod. But doing so might be more challenging than one thinks...

i have put thought into this too. I would like to see:

- a tool that can only be picked up once you are a certain level

- crafts that can only be crafted once you are a certain level

Things like this ensure that players continue to experience new things throughout a long play-cycle.

Would this add new windows that hold all the data or will it be all in a hated style: /level /stats (btw this is the hated style)

Since we don't have GUI scripting, I'd assume that it would be in the much hated style.

Perhaps we can make use of an inventory interface? Eg, use items or buttons to show the current level/xp/etc.

Maybe add a button to inventory "Character" so you can switch between inventory and your stats.
