No prob. it's that map loader bug I mentioned - it manifests itself as a hung server process (using 100% CPU and not responding to logins or map load requests, but often it responds to commands, chat, etc. while in that state).

Odd, I didnt even load new chunks, I was cutting down a forest.

Could you add some form of easy leaf removal or decay? It takes forever to cut down a few trees, especially your massive jungle ones. I'm thinking like a logger mod that cuts down the whole tree after a trunk block is broken, but that may be overkill.

No because then if you have a tree block that is not on the ground but on the side of a building the tree blocks falls

You know it can be triggered by mining the tree block first, then checking for tree blocks above that one, and leaves in a 5x5 area.

I don't know if a timber-type of mod would be too easy to do, but it should be possible. You definitely can't just assume a certain size/shape of course, so maybe such a mod will have to manually, recursively walk through the tree and delete it when it needs to do so.

That said, with such huge trees, the player *should* take a while to cut them down. :-)

Yea... but on a creative server? XD
Spent two hours clearing land of trees for my town.

afaik, unless you're my dad, you don't cut leaves with the trunk of the tree as well.

EDIT: Server restart needed, chunks are not loading/updating to client.

That timber mod will probably not work on modern L-systems trees. They're just too complex by comparison.
