stupid question

by legumev » Sat Mar 02, 2013 16:22

Where are my worlds saved?
- in Windows?
- in Ubuntu?

I was playing with the latest 4.4.d1 (Ubunttu) when all stopped. I had just mined a lot of mese cristals and was eager to use them, but when I restarted, my world had come back to the starting point, with empty inventory :-(

Windows: the directory where you installed Minetest.
Ubuntu: if compiled with RUN_IN_PLACE, the directory where you installed Minetest. If not, then the worlds are in ~/.minetest/worlds

In Ubuntu, your worlds are saved in /home/<your username>/.minetest/worlds <--- Each world is in a seperate folder within this directory

In Nautilus, you need press ctrl+h or select "show hidden files" from the View menu in order to see the .minetest folder

i don't know about windows though.

Hope it helps

Thanks a lot, shadowwraith, I didn't realize there were hidden files: this explains a lot of my problems!

You are my hero of the day
