I suggested ounce that Dwarves could become the new minetest, seem's like a good idea to me.
-1 not that I don't like your game but minetest default game is better(no mobs what I think makes minetest special, too many things in your game etc.

i see some reason behind it, but there are mostly people who want to have the well working thing out-of-the-box. there's a limited number of people who use linux for their everyday life and who would like minetest if they knew about. but the number is so small. so, here it's better to have more than less and if somebody doesn't like something - he deletes it, and not the other way.

Why would you want your items all over the floor, anyway? I'd understand if you wanted digging a chest to move its contents to your inventory. But to drop it on the floor? What possible good is that?
I use item_pickup so that would work fine with me.Mito551 wrote:0gb.us wrote:Dwarves is interesting, but I don't think it should be the default game. It's just too ... unplayable, in several ways.
why? give reasons please, there is a group of people who play it and don't complain about its unplayability.0gb.us wrote:jojoa1997 wrote:I think haveing chests drop stuff when you dig is needed.

...it works well with item_drop mod.

I don't mean to be to be overly critical, but you did ask. I think Dwarves is the best game for some people. I wouldn't mind if it were included as a second game (or third if you count minimal), but I don't think it should replace minetest_game.

I'm sorry i wasn't clear enough. dwarves shouldn't replace the minetest_game.but adding it would give people more choice and possibilities. modern society is too lazy to go on forum to look for something nice, believe me.
thank you for your arguments, though they are weird as hell.(no offence, mate) where are you from? i just wanna find out why you think so, maybe it's something to do with mentality.
half of these argument can be actually fought with a simple thing called manual.

I'd love to see it look prettier. I came by Minetest from Minecraft and, while I adore Mincraft, the boxy look and feel was never my favorite part. I liked the creative ways people got around the boxy look and feel, but to me it was always a second best solution to the issue of having both a fully interactive world and a nicely rendered 3D experience.
I took a brief look at this Uberdark and did not like the look of it much, but the concept is something that appeals greatly to me.
