It would be cool if there were pets in minetest, like dog and cat mobs, because right now there are no default mobs, and most mods only have monsters or farm animals.

I thought mobf had things you could tame and they will follow you around, and you can tame the slimes in the slime mod.

I know, but mobf mainly has farm animals and monsters, I do have slimes though, I like the new update where you can change the colors. But there are still "normal" pets like cats and dogs. (I think there are fish though)
Edit: Wait! I forgot about my nyan cats mod! Well, they still aren't normal cats, and they are cubes, too.

mobf has the wolf as tameable animal. I'm sure that sapier would add further animals if someone could come up with models for them. Apart from dogs, most animals won't follow you in reality.
There are also cartoonish rabbits in a mod called my_mobs done by wulfsdad.
