OK. I understand...
Do Not use Inverse Kinematics.
Do Not attach material(engine try to find textures)
Export Mesh with Armature.
One Mesh.
Do not include framerate

I think each mob must have reason to live.
like providing uniq items.
Sheep : provide wool.
Rat : food, ?can damage farms:-).
Cow is good mob which provide leather.
sand monster - drop gold.

nuggets. or golden sand. not lumps already. but generally i like the idea very much
cow for leather? i shall disagree. cow for milk and meat.
leather is better from deers or goats. these would be great as a distinctive trait for minetest.
in case adam refuses to do them, Pavel, if you do models - i'll do the code for goats and deers, basing on simple mobs api.
your models are really good

For the sake of keeping mobs from destroying buildings, there could be an option as to whether enemies (like dungeon masters) can destroy nodes or not.

So I completed a deer model, texturing took a tol of time=(
I tested it by replacing model of sand monster.

Spawn them in forests. Make them rare too.

I love those deer models. They are so cute, so I would love to have them wandering about.

Did you read my previous post yet? I said that for the sake of keeping mobs from destroying buildings, there could be an option as to whether enemies (like dungeon masters) can destroy nodes or not. When the nodes are destroyed, could they be dropped as items?

It is possible to run this and animals-modpack in the same world. I asked sapier if he could get his archer and guard entities to attack the monsters of this mod. It would be easier if there was a new entity classification known as hostile entity.
