Sorry if I missed it in an earlier post... I searched but couldn't find anything specifically for this mod.

VanessaE wrote:Better to just craft the cones to get the seeds directly, if one were to add such a feature, but if you're harvesting a tree, you don't really need seeds - you already get a few saplings from each one.

Jouster27 wrote:Sorry, the recent changes make it so that the Moretrees mod doesn't work with the circular saw again. I've got items such as moretrees:panel_sequoia_planks_top showing-up as unknown now.
[sniff] I was really looking forward to this one... Oh well, good thing I didn't empty my trash yet.
VanessaE wrote:Strange, I didn't make any changes at all to the newstuff branch, which is where the stairs/slabs stuff is.
Are you sure you didn't accidentally uninstall Calinou's More Blocks mod?
Or maybe you accidentally switched to the master branch in More Trees?
Both More Blocks and the More Trees' newstuff branch are needed together or those stairs/slabs will become unknown.
VanessaE wrote:Not anymore :-)
I just merged those changes in master into the newstuff branch and pushed to git (so master still lacks stairs/slabs of course, but newstuff has everything).
VanessaE wrote:Update 2013-04-24: Thanks to the latest code in More Blocks (namely in the Stairs Plus files), all the stairs/slabs/etc from the newstuff branch have been converted over to use the new "6d facedir" code! In so doing, the newstuff branch has been merged back to master and discontinued.
In the process, sideways tree trunks have also been discontinued (again in favor of the 6d code used against regular trunks).
This mod now depends on Calinou's More Blocks mod. You need More Blocks from his git repository from about 9:00 am EDT this morning or later for this to work properly.
More Blocks provides conversion code (written by yours truly :-) ) to handle converting all the "inverted", "wall", etc. nodes to regular ones + facedir, plus there's an extra bit of code added to handle those discontinued sideways trunks.
Since they're so new, I didn't bother adding conversion routines for sideways trunk stairs/slabs, I figure no one has used those yet. They can still be obtained by cutting and rotating regular trunks as with other stairsplus objects.
Use the "/st" command to toggle between placing stairs/slabs/panels normally or onto walls/"vertical" orientation. Placing an object onto a ceiling flips it upside down automatically, and slabs always flip sideways to sit against a wall if you're pointing at one, regardless of the state of this setting.
This also means that I'm able to run this latest update on my server. :-)
Enjoy!
Jouster27 wrote:Didn't get much of a chance to really test this because of trying to figure-out a way to get the screwdriver back but so far, this one works as advertised. I had a few blocks in my inventory that didn't convert and, honestly, it wasn't worth my time to try to make aliases for them. Having the easier block placement, fewer node types and more flexible inventory more than made-up for the unknown blocks, especially since it didn't break anything on my map. Great job, folks!
