Hello , new member here :D

I used to play minecraft single player and lan for a while and i really liked this game , too bad i couldn't play online for free :/
luckily i found this game and i have some questions to get started ^^

-is this game the same as minecraft? the gameplay , the crafts etc ?
-can i play online for free?
-are there any basic survival servers?cause im pretty new
-is it possible to host a map myself ?

The default game is not 100% the same as Minecraft. You can try my MiniTest game, it tries to copy Minecraft, but its currently in development so you have to update it quite often.

Yes, look at the server creation guides in the "Servers" section.

This game is similar to Minecraft, but with a few differences to set it apart.

There is no charge for playing online on a server.

In these forums, there is a section dedicated to servers. Most servers have the standard survival game.

It is possible for you to create a server for other people to play on. Look in these forums for the section dedicated to servers. There is a topic there that tells you how to set up a server.

And lastly, Minetest is 100% configurable. If you don't like the rewards a node gives, or if you want to change the game's behaviour, all you need is a text editor (like Wordpad!).
