Problems with Mods

by Stray333 » Tue May 28, 2013 08:40

I'm having trouble with three mods- Skins - beds - 3D_armor. I've even tried renaming the files and I don't really know what else to do. Can anyone help me with this?

When I try to use the beds, it kicks me off. The skins mod and 3D_armor mod don't work at all.

It looks like you know how and where to install the mods. In that case the mods are probably not compatible anymore with the minetest version you use. Best way to get help for these is to go to the Mod Releases section of this forum, go to the skins/bed and 3D_armor mod topics and ask there in a post if someone/the mod-maker knows what's wrong.

It helps when you write which version of minetest you're currently using (latest 0.4.6 unstable, 0.4.6 stable, an older version) and/or to paste a copy of the content in your debug.txt file.

Thank you, I've been lost for a while.

I took your advice and went and found a bed mod that works for me. The other two however do not. Oh well.

... It can be hard to find versions that work with older clients. It's helpful when the mod developers (wink wink) note which versions are compatible with what in the changelogs.
