That quote you bring up does not help your case at all.

This is most likely a misunderstanding.

Everyone on this forum, or playing the game as a whole is a community.
To be a "Minetest Community" you tube channel as a whole, you have to open and allow anyone from the community to post their videos.

So PilzAdam is saying that a few people does not contribute to a community, and so "Minetest Community youtube channel" is not correct. You have to allow anyone to post videos from the community.

I know that we are a community. I am actually a member of the community; I came here as a modder and went to upstream development a long time after I cam into this forum. You can see this at the number of forum posts I have.

What I meant in the "Minetest Community Channel" thread is, that one or two people think they can name their channel "Minetest Community". There need to be more than 2 community members to run a channel like this.

Even though there can be friction in the Minetest community, there is one good thing that happened recently. Mito551 is here with us again and is working on his Dwarves game again.

I've spoken to you a couple of times (forum posts and IRC), and I've observed conversations in the #Minetest channel. You're very good at what you do, but unfortunately dealing with the Minetest Community is not something you are great at.

And...

The Minetest Community will grow and evolve regardless of what you feel about it. Let it grow, don't discourage it by telling it what its doing wrong.
I don't want to leave such an interesting group of people who are all dedicated to a project like this. But I'm seeing more and more people disillusioned about this project in general. Mostly because anything they try and do to help is very quickly quashed.
Step back from the community and let your word filter down through people more adept at dealing with the community such as VanessaE, rather than jumping to the point so quickly just because you disagree with people who are only trying to help.

We can't just open and allow anyone from the community to access the channel. Most people will obey the rules, but then their are some who will do the inappropriate (inappropriate comments, videos, posts, changing password). It'll be chaotic. It's the internet.

And starblessed. I respect you. Keep posting videos and maybe even some on the Minetest Community Channel.
I've PM some people the password to the channel. (rubenwardy, starblessed, Evergreen, Mito551, kaeza, oOChainLynxOo) Starting off with a few people to see what happens. At least if anyone changed the password it can only be them (you).
