[BUG] Water Flow

by Dopium » Wed Jul 03, 2013 06:12

Latest build 0.4.7-0003fc8-vmanip-win32 i get a bug with the water. The flow seems to be very slow, sometimes its ok but most the time it doesnt want to flow. I have no errors in the debug and all is normal except the flow of water

You may have to restore the previous default for the flowing liquid code (was 10000, now it's 500). In your mintest.conf, put liquid = 10000 or do /set -n liquid 10000 to get it going again while you're still live.

Thanks VanessaE, is all back to normal now i just changed it in the config file like you said.

EDIT: Seems to come back every now and then but will go away for awhile, also only does this on singleplayer both minimal and mine_test. I have used sfan and pilzadams builds and both do the same thing. Only does this with builds where drowning has been added, could it be my OS i am using XP?.

No mods or textures added and i know there is no lag from my PC as everything else breaks fine and runs smooth

I'm not sure that anything else besides that setting would affect the flowing of water, least of all the OS, but what do I know. :-)

I have no idea what's going on, is only the drowning builds and the only way i can get it to flow normal all the time is by changing the viscosity to lava like 7 but yeah its like swimming through mud.

It has me stumped i can't see any other differences in the water variables from older builds, CPU usage is 3% (normal for me) and everything is fine other then the water will not flow correctly.

Is a shame as i was ready to upgrade my client to one with the drowning feature, looks like i may have to wait for a later build to see if my PC magically wants to play with drowning lol
