GUI graphic brainstorming

I have been studying graphics for some time and I know that yellow colors mean happiness, green is neutral, blue and violet are depressive and red is danger and activity :)

Too green? In the last mockup there is only one window with a little green bar on top and the rest is yellow.

But don't worry sapier with .xcf file you can change color easily. :)
If you don't like green there is a good website to expose and find good colors palettes: kuler

Maybe some brown font would be good?

I can, but i prefer to play with GUI. There are already lots of talented artists who make textures for minetest. :)

I just like your pictures style and would like too see a texture pack in such setting. Anyway, thanks for the pictures.

I'm not a dev so it's hard for me to learn C++ and at the same time try to learn how the GUI works in Irrlicht.
Mods uses Lua, i think if GUI uses lua in the future, it will be great. It's easier to work with and we don't need to compile it!

Thanks for the source. Also you seem to be using a reasonably free license. 8)

However, the font you use seems to be in a silly format and quite limited in internationalization. The former is probably not a problem, but the latter is.

Related: found this the other day; it's a pixel-artish truetype font that has support for multiple languages. Just putting it here for future reference: http://openfontlibrary.org/font/press-start-2p

Nice, it supports Cyrillic! But It's good for decoration, for GUI fonts like liberation or dejavu are better.

The font format is specially makes for Irrlicht. :)

Yes for internationalization we need a better font. Internationalization is always a problem because it needs maintenance, that's why i'm trying to use images every time i can.

Maybe i can reduce text amount with pictures again?
