I'M MAKING SOME MODIFICATIONS ABOUT TEXTURES OF MODS... SO, YOU CAN SEE, I CHANGED PROTECTORS' TEXTURE, ALSO, I'M ADAPTING THE HEADS' TEXTURES TO MK. ALSO, I HAVE AN ARCADE MACHINE.

NOW THE PROTECTOR LOOKS LIKE A POKÉBALL :D

192.168.180.1 is probably your internal IP address. Have you setup port forwarding on your router to allow access to your computer from the internet?

If it doesn't appear on the server list then you may have done something wrong still.

Okay in firewall:

Inbound connection, add UDP port: 30000-30000

Outbound connection, add UDP port: 30000-30000

And PortMapper: UDP 30000

The reason we use UDP, because it's just better in a way. Not much to explain.

Then in Minetest config file:





Edit that and put something like this.. for example:

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

After the "-worldname" hit space then type in your map name, and then hit Apply and OK.

Your server is now running itself, without you!

I recommend joining the server by using your internal IP, so bandwidth isn't wasted too. The IPv4 Address is your internal IP. Nobody can join that except if they're in your house connected to your router. Just type in IP in the server list in the game (engine) and your port (30000) and you'll join the server.

One thing to keep in mind... make sure your ISP allows you to run a server... if you're using Comcast... you don't want to run a server, otherwise they'll cut off your internet service. I'm using RCN... and in their ToS... they didn't mention anything about server so I'm okay I guess.

Sorry... that's not the IP address... that's only private still.... you want the EXTERNAL IP.... you want to be able to connect to THAT IP.

I guess... I mean it depends how you properly set up the whole server in the first place. If you're able to join the server via your external IP, then you set it up correctly.

It's the Gateway Address. Or I need to put the ipv6 address - that doesn't make sense...
And in tutorials, they say that we type ipconfig on cmd, and then it will show the ip addres - ipv4 I think. Or it's the Gateway Address...? I'm so dizzy and confused. I don't know how to set it up.
