Updated to include hats texture for the skins that used them (#2, 19, 20, 21, 23, 25, 26, 30).

Description:
Craft and place an assortment (30) of character heads, using textures from Zeg9's Skins Mod. Once placed, their textures can be changed by right-clicking or left-clicking on them, though sometimes the heads don't like being changed, and will let you know about it!

Recipe:

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

Obviously, they're not - I created this mod as a bit of a joke, but since there seems to be a bit of interest, what would I put there? "property of Mojang", or something like that?

I'm thinking of going in a different direction with this mod, so it might be a non-issue anyway.

Okay, I admit this mod started as somewhat of a joke, but I figured what the heck, I'll make it into a real mod (that hopefully avoids any licensing mess). See the first post for info, downloads and screenshot.

I got a joke.

There are three people about to be executed by the French by the guillotine, a British man, a French man found guilty of treason by court and a American. The Brit walks up and says "Long live the Queen!" The blade doesn't fall, so they let him free, taking it as a sign of his innocent life. The French man walks up and yells "Justice pour tous!" The guillotine doesn't fall so they set him free. The American walks up saying "You know, the quillotine would work a lot better if you put some grease in that top corner-- eh...oops." The French had added another head to their collection

Cool, I'll add that later today, and I'll start going through the skins database for more heads when I get a chance.

With the new API you could make a script that gets all the skins from the database, extract their heads (:D), generate some code to register them as nodes, and upload it to github or whatever.
Of course you can also make it by hand ;-)

By the way, I like your mod, especially the sounds.

Haha, that sounds like a good idea to automate it, but it might get a bit hairy with the head extraction part! Definitely something to look into, though.

Glad you like the sounds - I made them myself (WTFPL FTW!), though my kids helped me with a couple of them (I'll let you guess which ones).
